Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings coach earns award

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings continue to receive recognition from the United States Premier Hockey League for their outstanding season.

Team leader Marty Quarters was recently named UPSHL Elite coach of the year.

Quarters led the Riverkings to an Elite Midwest Conference championship and a 37-4-3 regular season record. In the playoffs, the team went 4-0 in the first two rounds of the postseason and went to Boston for the first time.

In Boston, the Riverkings went 1-3 to finish third overall in their third season in Wisconsin Rapids. The Riverkings finished 42-7-3 overall this season.
